UTokyo has been working to realize a campus with low greenhouse gas emissions through the Todai Sustainable Campus Project (TSCP) since 2008.

In October 2021, it became the first Japanese national university to participate in Race to Zero, an international campaign developed by the UNFCCC calling for action to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

However, despite many efforts to date, more realistic and concrete measures are needed to achieve this goal, and students have not been involved in the planning process.

This project aims to create and publish our own roadmap for Race to Zero and to encourage our university to create appropriate roadmaps.
